We offer a variety of ways adults can get involved.
Sunday School Classes
We have Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:30 am each week. Adult classes include:
- Men’s Classes
- Women’s Classes
- Mixed Adult Classes
- Bible Storying
- Young Adults
- Families of Faith
Join us on Sunday mornings. Visiting for the first time? Our friendly welcome volunteers will help you find a class where you feel comfortable.
Do you have a talent for singing? Join our Adult Choir in leading the congregation as we worship the Lord in song. Anyone 7th grade and older who enjoys signing is welcome to be a part of the choir. We rehearse on Sundays at 4:45 pm. We sing with the praise team most Sundays, perform special music, and prepare holiday productions. See Debbie Hartwell for more information.
Our prayer ministry keeps members informed of prayer needs within our church family. We also share answers to prayers, which encourages others to keep praying. This ministry is for all ages.
The Women’s Ministry strives to disciple women and nurture their spiritual growth. We host Bible studies and other events throughout the year. To learn more, contact Velma Merritt.
This ministry enhances the worship experience at NNBC by operating the sound system and multimedia presentations. Anyone with a heart for worship and a knowledge of sound and video technology is welcome to become a part of this ministry.
Senior Adult Ministry
B.A.S.I.C.: Brothers and Sisters in Christ
This active group provides seniors with opportunities for fellowship and friendship with other Christians. The group is targeted for adults 50+, although anyone is welcome. The group takes road trips to local events and activities, usually within a 3-hour radius. They also host fellowships and community outreach opportunities. Contact the church office for details.
The Golden Girls group ministers to widows as stated in James 1:27, “…religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” The ministry reaches out to all single senior women and provides a caring way to show them they are valued and loved through camaraderie, fun, fellowships, and basic home projects and chores. Sign up to volunteer for projects that are held at various times throughout the year.
Ladies of all ages meet the 4th Thursday of each month to fellowship over lunch. They carpool to a different restaurant in the region each month.
