Senior Pastor

We are pleased to announce that Travis Edwards joined the NNBC family as Senior Pastor beginning April 29, 2018.

Travis received a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry with a concentration in Conflict Management from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, IN. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO, with a B.A. in Religious Studies and a Minor in Communication. Travis began his first pastorate at First Baptist Church of Highlandville, MO, where he led for nine years. He then served as the pastor of Orchard Crest Baptist Church in Springfield, MO, for eleven years.

A Missouri native, Travis grew up in church. His father still pastors today in Marionville, Missouri. Travis and his wife Melissa have been married since 2007. North Nixa Baptist Church holds many special memories for them; they first met at a Bible study at NNBC and were married here three years later.

NNBC is excited to welcome Travis, Melissa, and their four children to our church family.

Student Pastor

Bryan Ridenour serves as our Youth and Children’s Pastor.

Bryan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education with a Minor in Music from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. He formerly served as Music and Youth Minister at Mentor Baptist Church in Rogersville, MO, and as the Pastor of Eastern Gate Baptist Church in Ozark, MO. North Nixa Baptist has been his ministerial home since April of 2003.

Bryan and his wife Delaina have been married 24 years. They have six children ranging in age from toddler to 16 years old.

Ministry Assistant/Worship Leader

Bonnie Vawter fills a dual role as the church’s Ministry Assistant and Praise & Worship Leader.

Bonnie graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Applied Science. She majored in Social Work and Counseling and has been involved with music ministry since college. Bonnie has served as NNBC’s Praise & Worship Leader since 2012 and the Ministry Assistant since 2013. She also serves in other areas of the church.

Bonnie’s daughter Meagan attends high school at New Covenant Academy.
